In this age of globalisation, the Malaysian Muslims are still living in the jahiliah (ignorant) era. Is their religion so fragile or their faith is weak that they have to fight for minor things for the Muslims in this country? Now, two state religious councils want to intervene in the "Allah" case.
Allah is not exclusively an Islam's terminology for God. The Christians in the Middle East (even before the arrival of Islam) have been using it for the longest time.
The Malaysian Muslims must understand the difference between religion and language. And I think the two religious councils should use the funds they have to strenghten the faith of the Muslims in their respective states if not the country.
If the Christians use the term Allah in their sermons and newsletters, will that shake the iman or faith of the Muslims?
What happened to Islam, the religion of "akal" (the art of thinking) and reason? Maybe the Malaysian Muslims has not come to that chapter yet.
